Four Founders Scholarship

The Four Founders Scholarship was instituted to fulfill supporting youth scholastics & the community. Each year, The Uplift Foundation awards up to ten (10) $1,500.00 scholarships to college bound graduating seniors, who apply and provide the application requirements below

Scholarship Opportunities

1. New Applicant Portal

For: High school seniors graduating in 2026.
Eligibility:
- Minimum GPA of 2.7 on a 4.0 scale.
- Must reside in the Chicago South Suburban area.
- Must submit essay, transcript, recommendation letter, and resume.

2. Reapplication Portal (Previous Scholarship Recipients Only)

For: Returning applicants (e.g., college freshmen or sophomores) who previously received or applied for the scholarship.
Eligibility:
- Must be the child of an active Chi Lambda Lambda Chapter member.
- Must have maintained satisfactory academic progress (minimum 2.7 GPA).
- Must provide updated transcript and short progress reflection.

Annual Eligibility Requirements

To be eligible to apply for the Uplift Foundation scholarship, the applicant must meet the following requirements:

Must be a Chicago south-suburban resident attending a local high school or private/parochial school in the Chicago metropolitan area.
Must be planning on attending an accredited college or university in Fall 2026

The Chi Lambda Lambda Scholarship Committee will make the selection of awardees based on:

Exceptional GPA
Minimum ACT score of 18 or SAT score of 950
Strong communication skills - oral and written
Extra-curricular activities
Strong commitment to pursue a college education
Positive self-concept, motivated, and driven
Community involvement and service
